The Institute for Continuing Healthcare Education Appoints New Medical Director

Allison A. Muller, Pharm.D, D.ABAT, to Lead Strategy and Educational Design
April 26, 2012-PHILADELPHIA, PA-The Institute for Continuing Healthcare Education (The Institute), Philadelphia's premier independent medical education company, has expanded its team with the appointment of Allison A. Muller, Pharm.D, D.ABAT. In her new role, Allison will develop strategy and manage the development of clinical materials, publication plans and metrics across multiple medical disciplines, as well as assist with business development and marketing.
Allison has close to 20 years of medical and scientific experience, having worked in both the university and hospital settings prior to joining The Institute. Since 1993, she was with The Poison Control Center at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and served as clinical managing director since 2002. As a department head at this premier academic hospital, she was responsible for the program's clinical, operational, educational, financial and communications functions.

In addition to her new role at The Institute, Allison is adjunct faculty at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, a guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and a section editor for the Pharm Tox Corner column in Journal of Emergency Nursing.

Allison is a board-certified toxicologist and holds a bachelor of pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas.
