2009 & 2010 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence

The Institute has won the Award of Excellence for the 21st and 22nd annual Awards for Publication Excellence, a competition for communications professionals, for its quarterly Rheumatology Nurse newsletter. Rheumatology Nurse is geared at educating rheumatology and infusion nurses. It was the only publication from a provider of continuing medical education to be so honored in the Print Newsletter category. Since its debut in the spring of 2008, Rheumatology Nurse has been funded by Amgen, Genentech, UCB, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Abbott.

2010 American Inhouse Design Awards

Recognized for its innovation in design, the Institute won two Awards Certificates of Excellence for the 2010 American Inhouse Design Awards, one for the Theory to Practice: Therapeutic Management for Patients with Hemophilia activity invitation and another for the Rheumatology Nurse Newsletter. The American Inhouse Design Awards is the original and the premier showcase for outstanding work by inhouse designers in the nonprofit, education, and commercial sectors. The prestigious Awards Certificate of Excellence is based not only on talent, but also on the unique challenges faced by inhouse designers, as well as the contributions they make to their respective businesses and institutions.
